Education is the heartbeat of opportunity—for every student, every family, and every community. In this moment, when the cost of living is rising and families are making tough choices, protecting affordable, accessible public higher education isn’t optional—it’s essential.

Community colleges - like MiraCosta - are engines of upward mobility. They open doors for working parents, first-generation students, veterans, and career changers. They meet people where they are and help them build the futures they deserve.

I know this because I lived it. As a community college student, I discovered not just a pathway to a degree, but a pathway to purpose. That experience shaped who I am and set me on my path to public service.

I’m running for re-election to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed and thrive.
